Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Q: How are the finances of Partridge Community Church?
Financially Partridge Community Church is currently doing fine. We are operating within our budget and we are expecting to meet our on-going expenses this year.
Q: Why don't we rely on fundraising activities for the Building Fund?
The members of Partridge Community Church are very reliable and generous donors. It is expected that capital funds can be raised based more on member's pledges than on fundraising revenue. However we are working on additional fund raising activities (dinners before Praise Service, community cookbook, church bazaar, and others). Money from these activities will go directly to the Building Fund.
Q: Why don*t we use funds (CD's, Memorials) on hand for the building project?
A church must have the continuous support of its members. It is up to the members to provide enough funds to keep the church running. Funds need to be in reserve for major unexpected expenses, such as furnace or air conditioning repairs.
Q: What can I do to help?
Take some time to prayerfully consider the degree to which you can support Partridge Community Church in the coming year. In addition to monetary contributions, you may volunteer to work on mailings, make copies, address mailings, help organize and implement fundraisers, generate lists of possible donors, contact businesses for support, develop and place flyers, make phone calls, help with grant writing, and many other important activities.
Q: Why should I pledge?
You play an important role in our mission to serve God and further His kingdom. The important financial decisions to improve our building were not made by the Finance Committee, Deacons, or Trustees. They were made by our faithful members who support the church to their best ability throughout the year. Involvement by everyone is important to our mission.
Q: What if I am not in a position to make a commitment regarding the amounts I can give next year?
We are only asking for you to give us an estimate of what you think you will be able to give in the coming year, nothing more. Just as God is faithful, and always keeps his commitments to his people, we firmly believe that God will honor the commitments his people make to his Church.
Q: What is the best way to support the Capital Fund?
The sooner we have cash in hand, the less the project will cost. People support the Capital Fund in many ways. Some donate a set amount each month, while others make a single larger payment at sometime during the year. Some people keep a change jar at home, and bring the contents to the church when it is full. No matter how you do it, your support can help us ensure that Partridge Community Church will continue to serve our community for years to come.
